Federal Inlaid SideboardÂ
American (possibly New York), ca 1800-1810. A serpentine front six-legged sideboard in mahogany with lightwood line and figural inlay, the conforming top over three compartments, the two at either end with bowed doors having bone shield escutcheons, the central compartment with two doors opening to an interior shelf. The quadrangular tapered front legs all topped with a flower and leaf inlay, stringing, an open oval lozenge, over another with pointed ends, the legs cuffed with line and checkered inlay;  ht. 41.5, wd. 63.25, dp. 27 in.
