(1973) Jim Steranko is one of the most revered and simultaneously notorious comic artists of the 20th Century, being largely responsible for transforming the look of 1960s Marvel comics (Nick Fury, Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.) into cool, hip, go-go, swinging 60s, away from the stodgy old-school style of DC Comics. Being himself a lover of Playboy-type sexy women, Steranko created this series of Supergirls for his own 1973 calendar release, and offered here are (8) vintage full unbound 10.5 x 17 in. printed pages from the original 12-page calendar, each boldly and neatly signed by Steranko. Very fine.
