Framed porcelain plaque, China, early 20th century, painted with figure of Zhongli Han and child with tree and flowers, 15" h x 7" w. Provenance: Dr. Norman T. Kirk, Chief of Surgical Service from Jan. 1929 - Mar. 1931 at Sternberg General Hospital, a U.S. Army hospital in Manila, Philippine Islands. He later became Surgeon General of the U.S. Army from 1943-1947.
