Van Cleef & Arpels, mid 20th century (circa 1960), 18k yellow gold, turquoise, ruby and diamond 'Chick' brooch or pin in the form of a stylized chick with enlarged head perched on a branch. Textured head set with a circular cabochon ruby below pave set diamond eye lid, body set with an oval cabochon turquoise. Verso of clasp with maker's marks and French assay marks. Total weight approximately 13.1 grams. Brooch or clip measures approximately 38 mm x 15.25mm.
