Description
A pair of Coalport Moon Flasks, circa 1885, decorated with water lilies in low relief, with silver and gilt enamels against a pale yellow ground, painted pattern number A2795 in black, 13cm high (hairlines to base), together with a further Coalport moon flask, circa 1880, cobalt blue ground with gilt decoration of birds and butterflies amongst branches, with two mask head handles, on raised feet, painted A4912 in gold, 10cm high, together a Coalport miniature basket, circa 1900, cobalt ground with gilt interior, banding and decoration, 8cm high, green printed mark (4) See Messenger, Michael, 'Coalport, 1795-1926' (Antique Collectors' Club, 1995, Suffolk), p.318 for an example of a Water Lily pattern moon flask, described here as a 'Pilgrim Flask', with a pink ground.
