Fantastic pair of antique 19th carved figural parlor armchairs executed in rosewood. These large parlor chairs have carved classical maidens on the arms, figural crests with drop finials and turned front legs.
This mid-19th century richly carved oak armchair features cresting with an elaborately carved leaf motif supported with barley twist uprights and stretchers. The barley twist spiral carving originated in England, signifying wealth. The seat and back are beautifully caned, guaranteed in mint condition!
