Item Details

Description

Pair of Louis XVI-Style Mahogany Bergeres, 20th century, each with a domed and padded back surmounted by a floral crest, joined to the cushioned seat by padded arms, raised on stop-fluted tapering circular legs ending in toupie feet, h. 39".

Condition

Both are in very good, sturdy condition. The exposed center vertical back brace on one is cracked at its mid-point. It appears that it could be repaired with glue and a clamp without having to take the chair apart or interfere with the upholstery. The fabric is clean and appears new. The seats are firm.
