Condition
Overall Condition: Good. There is a 2-1/2" long area of repair (with silver solder and hammering) on the lower edge near one foot; the repair is somewhat clumsily executed and visible on both the face and underside. Otherwise with nice shape with the expected wear (scuffs, scratches - including five knife scratches, the longest 2" - pips and dings). There is a small 3/8" triangular planishing imperfection on the underside. Engraving excellent. Hallmarked (on the underside) with: 1) the sterling lion passant; 2) the London crowned leopard's head; 3) the date letter "l" for 1786-1787; 4) the George III bust duty mark; and 5) the "EI" maker's mark of Elizabeth Jones [Grimwade 600]. Marks excellent.
