KPM Porcelain Portrait Plaque Depicting Philippine Welser, the wife of Ferdinand II, Archduke of Austria, the plaque impressed "KPM" and with the scepter mark on the back, signed "Edouard Bisson, 1899", and painted in Bisson's luminous style, in a giltwood Beaux-Arts-style exhibition frame with a brass plaque reading: "Edouard Bisson, French: 1891", h. 17-3/4", w. 15-1/4".
Condition
Spectacular KPM plaque in excellent condition. Fully marked on the back with the scepter above "K.P.M." above an "H". Plaque: h. 12-5/8", w. 10". The giltwood frame with scattered typical small restorations and a tiny surface loss at the bowknot - all consistent with age.
