This lot comprises an original wooden case with twelve bottles of 1978 vintage Château Rauzan Gassies from the Margaux appellation in Bordeaux.
Margaux is located in MĂ©doc and is one the finest appellations in France. Ernest Hemingway was so fond of Margaux wine that he named his daughter after it. The most widely used grape variety is Cabernet Sauvignon, which is always blended with other varieties like Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Malbec. The wines are long-lasting and should only be savored after several years of proper storage.
The fill levels are excellent (1x top shoulder, 11x into neck). The original wooden case, labels and capsules are in perfect condition.
