Description
Egypt, Ptolemaic Period, 300-32 BCE. Depicting an incised striding ibis perched on top of an incised standard finial, ibis facing right, offering table with food and lotus flower on right side and winged disc on top. 7-1/2"H. Custom mount. Stelae are stone or wooden slabs, generally taller than it is wide, erected as monument, very often for funerary or commemorative purposes.
