Greece, from the colony of Apulia, southern Italy, Ca 340 to 325 BCE. Lovely red-figure terracotta plate on short, rounded foot, interior decorated with Lady of Fashion facing left, wearing pearly strand, earrings, hair in diadem, wave pattern surrounds. 5"D.
Provenance: Ex-private collection of William Dale, a career diplomat stationed in Turkey in the early 1960's, who acquired a vast collection of Greek, Roman and Near-Eastern treasures during his tenure.
