PRECOLUMBIAN.MOCHE VESSEL WITH SPEARED LLAMA. Peru, c. 100-800 AD. The burnished umber vessel with a molded llama which turns its head toward a spear embedded in its back. The scene repeated on both sides. 4 inches.
Provenance: An extensive East Coast Pre-Columbian collection. Acquired from a New York ancient art dealer in the late 20th century.
