Item Details

Description

Strongly painted mid 19th Century Jack Tar Sailor cane or umbrella stand in old or original paint. A sailor stands above an anchor, paddle and cargo coiling a line in front of him. Original drip pan. Height 27 Inches (68.5 cm) Width 17 1/8 Inches (43.5 cm)

Condition

Good. Some wear and crazing to the paint, commensurate with age. A small, separately cast Neptune mask is lost from the front center of the base.
