Presented in the last months of Roosevelt's final term, the address gives the state of the Union's finances, labor and protection of wageworkers, courts, natural resources, Indian affairs, education, health, et al. Printed wraps are worn on the spine. Binding is tight; bound with staples at the left edge.

Dan Tyler Moore Sr. served as Roosevelt's military attaché and established the U.S. Army's first artillery school (the School of Fire) in 1911. He was Roosevelt's sparring partner and was responsible for impairing Roosevelt's eyesight when he caught him in the left eye during a boxing match.
