[Northwest Indian War]. William Henry Harrison Document Signed "Wm. H. Harrison." One page, 7.25" x 3" (sight), n.p., May 23, 1794. Harrison, a young lieutenant in the Legion of the United States and aide-de-camp to General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, has here signed a requisition for two days rations for six men and one woman upon a barge. Unevenly toned. Minor damage to the upper right corner. Double matted in dark brown and light gray with a portrait of Harrison

Three months after signing this, Harrison participated in the final battle of the Northwest Indian War, the Battle of Fallen Timbers [August 20, 1794]. The American victory at Fallen Timbers allowed John Jay, then in England, to successfully conclude treaty negotiations with the British for their withdrawal from British forts along the United States' western frontier.
