Two volumes of English Botany or Coloured Figures of British Plants, volume 8, 1799, & volume 25, 1807, over 135 hand colored botanical plates, by James Sowerby, marbled leather boards with gilt decorations, 9" H x 5.5" W. Condition: volume 8 has hairline visible seperation along the hinge, lesser so on volume 25, some minor foxing, number tabs on spine from the private library of Charles Viscount Halifax as indicated on the bookplates on the pastedown page, binding tight, considering age fine condition.
