Size: 6 ft 8 in x 8 ft (2.03 m x 2.44 m) circa 1920's - Suzani Textiles, Uzbekistani, Antique - This archetypal antique Suzani from Uzbekistan showcases a series of medallions rendered in a whimsical style. The central medallion depicts a variety of concentric outlines, recurved tendrils and bird's foot trefoils. The grand central medallion is surrounded by rows of compound trefoil motifs, charming rosettes and small-scale wheels adorned with dainty flowers and scalloped edges. Pink flowers, berry-colored accents and vivid violet purples are set against a buttery custard-colored background.
