Apollo 12 FLOWN Gordon Name Tag

This unique beta cloth nametag was flown aboard Apollo 12 to the Moon while on Richard Gordon's Apollo XII Pressure Garment Assembly (spacesuit). Consistent with NASA tradition, upon their return to Earth, the astronauts' name, mission patch and US flag patches were removed from their suits and given to them as mementos of their historic journey. This tag shows some abrasion from use and some soiling. Minor faults resulting from this patch being removed from Gordon's pressure suit add provenance to this lot.
