Francis Bacon; Crockfords black leather pocket diary for 1968. Entries in Bacon's hand in green ink and pencil include a series of numbers, a small number of other entries including 9th March: "Man looking a television." 23rd March: "Woman walking through door". 6th April: "Man opening door", and "Start thinking about figures for sculpture." 21st September: "Two in exhibition sold." 9th November: "Opening of exhibition New York."
