Attributed to Peter Lacy telegram to Francis Bacon: "Many thanks, your telegram initially mis-read over phone to housekeeper as if you would be away until end of December stop now have it straight and am urgently packing for Friday December 20th departure London C/o Victor Lownes, 6299211 looking forward to seeing you warmest regards Peter." Hand-written note in Bacon's hand on reverse with a name and telephone number. This telegram is un-dated and although only signed Peter it was almost certainly from Lacy.
