Francis Bacon, Study of a Dog at Rest, with a bowl close to his rear legs, oil on canvas 14" x 12". (See note on lot 2042 above.)
This sketch appears to follow the normal format of an outline which has been followed by some highlighting in white. Once again, the canvas has been put on one side, presumably as an unfinished work to which the artist never returned. Provenance: The Robertson Collection
