VERY LARGE AND FINE AMERICAN RENAISSANCE PIER MIRRORA parcel ebonized and porcelain mounted gilt-wood Pier Mirror, possibly the workshop of Pottier and Stymus New York, 19th Century. The vertical mirror plate surmounted by a lunette incised coved cornice with arched recess centering an oval porcelain plaque depicting a classically draped maiden playing pipes flanked by rosettes and gilt acorn finials, within a gilt and ebonized cavetto banding within an outset burled border, flanked by three-quarter round fluted columns headed by gilt incised papyrus capitals, raised on leafed and gilt spiral incised plinths, bisected with gilt and ebonized knopped brackets above an out stepped base.
