Berry III, 1961, Cape Elizabeth, Maine Please note that the title of this lot has been changed from "Ogunquit Surf I" to "Mid Ocean" in all virtual catalogues and has been so noted in all additions and corrections sheets inserted into hard copies of the catalogue as of Monday, October 13. (The Roman numeral "II" in the title of lot 48 has been deleted by default as there is no longer a painting titled with a "I" in this auction.) Barridoff Galleries received the following email from the artist's grandson: It might interest you to know that this Charles Woodbury painting, which you have titled "Ogunquit Surf," is actually a study for "Mid Ocean" which is the artist's most famous painting...The final painting is owned by the Berkshire Athenaeum and measures 49" × 72." Sincerely, Chris Woodbury, Artist's Grandson
