Pre-Columbian, Peru, Inca culture, Ca 1400 to 1500 CE. Choice and most attractive pottery stirrup vessel in the form of a smiling jaguar. Open mouth with toothy smile, rounded ears to the sides of the stirrup, small bird perched at chimney. Vessel has an overall wonderful metallic sheen. 7" H.
