Adorable compilation of condiments vessels by the jeweler to the British Crown Jewels

Garrard & Co was responsible as court jeweler to the British Crown Jewels from 1842 to 2007 in London. The present set consists of four small salt cellars, four condiment bowls and four mustard pots made from sterling silver. The pieces feature sober and plain shapes with profiled stand rings and edges. The spice bowls and mustard pots are fitted with blue glass liners and spoons. This is a charming compilation of condiments for numerous guests, which should not be missing on any table.


The pieces are hallmarked with the maker's mark of Garrard & Co., the London city mark, the Sterling standard mark and the date letter T (1954) or U (1955). The spoons are hallmarked with the maker's mark of William Suckling Ltd. (ca. 1923-1962), the city mark of Birmingham, the Sterling standard mark and the date letter C (1927) or D (1928). All pieces are in good condition, showing light wear. The glass liner of one mustard pot shows a chip. The height of a salt cellar is 5 cm, the spice bowls are 2 cm and the mustard pots 5 cm in height. The total weight of all pieces is approximately 390 grams.
