The Chanukah candelabra is traditionally used on the occasion of the Jewish Hanukkah festival. The term was coined at the end of the 19th century in Jerusalem. The present bank-shaped menorah by the Polish artist Samuel Cygler (1898-1943) dates from around 1930 and consists of several marble parts. On the back wall there is an engraved Decalogue - the Ten Commandments - with applied brass half-crowns above it. On the rectangular base are mounted two lions looking at each other. Behind it stands a marble bridge with the ‘servant’, a small oil vessel to ignite the candles. At the front edge are mounted eight candle holders.

The Chanukah candelabra is in good condition with light wear. A corner shows a restored breaking point. The dimensions, when assembled, are 42 x 46 x 24 cm.
