The Empire bracket clock by Gabriel Johann Bauer from Vienna impresses by its rich decoration and the combination of different materials. The complex architectural structure of various woods is just as remarkable as the fine alabaster columns and the rich figural and vegetal ornaments of brass applications. The mirrored rear wall, which enhances the three-dimensional quality of the body, the small sun pendulum and the imaginative hands on the dial are very beautiful details of this high quality clock.
The clock is in good condition considering its age. There are alterations, additions, blemishes and repairs in part. The dimensions of the clock are approximately 69 x 34 x 14 cm. During a short-term test, it was functional, but long-term precision, sound and functionality cannot be guaranteed. The clock comes with two winding keys. The musical mechanism without visible signature.
