This pair of candle sticks made of sterling silver was produced in 1915 by Ellis Jacob Greenberg. The square stepped bases are decorated with two bead and reel borders. The fluted shafts end in Corinthian capitals. An elegant pair of classical design!
The candle holders are hallmarked on the side of the base with the maker's mark ‘EJA’ for Ellis Jacob Greenberg, Birmingham town mark, sterling standard mark, date letter ‘q’ (1915).
The candle sticks are in good condition with signs of age and wear. The height of each is 29.5 cm, the weight is approx. 2,392 g. (tfa)
