A Regency inlaid mahogany eight-day longcase clock with moonphase, William Barber, Sherbourne, early 19th century, the four pillar rack and bell striking movement with 12 inch white Roman numeral break-arch dial with subsidiary seconds dial and arched calendar aperture to the exotic bird painted centre and rose decorated spandrels to angles beneath arch with rolling moonphase calibrated for the age of the moon to upper margin, in a break-arch case with Corinthian columns to hood above Gothic arch inlaid rectangular door flanked by canted angles to trunk, on circular panel decorated plinth base with moulded skirt incorporating bracket feet with shaped apron between, 208cm (82ins) high.
