The letters are all addressed to Miss Hazel Kapstein. Miss Kapstein was assistant to the publisher of The Lakeside Press, Thorne Donneley. Three of the typed letters (one each from Rockwell, Frances, and Dickie Kent),  are requesting Miss Kapstein's assistance in retrieving a few items left at the Donnelley home during a visit by the Kent family along with other pleasantries. The autograph letter is more personal, thanking Hazel for her assistance during their visit and offering Miss Kapstein the use of the Kent home for her upcoming wedding party. Kent goes on to ask her assistance in communicating a few things to Thorne Donnelley and help with obtaining addresses of individuals met during their stay in Chicago as guests of the Donnelleys. The second typed letter from Kent, 2 years later, discusses the signing of books sent him by The Lakeside Press for presentation, and other cordialities.
