This Italian service includes 144 pieces of .800 silver flatware. The set includes: 12 knives, 12 soup spoons, 12 coffee spoons, 10 sugar spoons, 12 teaspoons, 12 large spoons, 12 cocktail forks, 12 butter spreaders, 11 luncheon forks, 12 dinner knives, 12 salad forks, 12 dinner forks, one serving fork and spoon, and one cake server. Each piece’s handle features a scallop and floral motif with a ‘G’ monogram. The knives have stainless steel blades. The serving fork and spoon have acrylic ends.
This set has traces of age and wear with all over scratching. The serving spoon and knife have acrylic replacement ends. The silver is marked, ‘800’, with a deer head, and an Italian Republican period lozenge with ‘42’ and ‘PA’. The largest piece, the dinner knife, is 9.5” x 1.25” (length x width). The total weight of the service is 231.05 ozt.
