(24) CHINESE WATERCOLOR PAINTINGS WITH PRESENTATION - Portaits of Insects presented to US Consular Officer in Canton on June 21, 1948, given by Sun Poo-Kang and Gen. Wang Che-fu, from Sun's family collection, album pages now framed, with letter that gives artist as Ching (Qing) Dynasty Emporer Tao Kwang (Daoguang) Imperial Artist Hua Kun, known as Po I, grandson of Yu Yuan. Seven are in gold stick frames, seventeen are in stained wood stick frames, all are matted and glazed, OS: 15 1/2" x 17", SS: 11" x 12 1/2", PLUS the presentation in three sheets are in 39" x 15" frames. Good condition, minor water staining and wormage to a few of the paintings, which were mounted on brocade in the album.
