Fr. GA-45. This remarkable and highly colorful, large format 1766 Colonial Georgia note also has a vivid fresh bold brown signature of George Elliott at lower left. The original red and black text is superbly printed in deep colors having outstanding press text embossing obvious to the naked eye, retained within the crisp laid period paper. The margin designs and text is perfectly centered within four large even margins. There is a deft sealed paper split and a small .35” repair to the lower right corner only visible from the blank reverse side and is quite invisible from its Superb appearing face. Only 2,523 notes were authorized on this entire “Savannah Court-House” Issue. This note being one of the finest known. The PMG Population Report records only one sole example being Certified EF-45. An exceptional, truly breathtaking 1766 “Savannah Court-House” issue Georgia rarity.
