Description
New Jersey Currency
Extremely Rare November 20, 1757 New Jersey 6 Shillings
New Jersey. November 20, 1757. Six Shillings. Plate A. Conservation. Fine.
Fr. NJ-109. This note is of the Seventh French & Indian War New Jersey issue for financing its War expenses. This issue was to be made completely invalid by May of 1774. There is a deft sealed centerfold having a reverse reinforcement removed and other minor small expert repairs. It is printed in red and black having a strong pronounced face and is more worn upon its black printed reverse side yet the sage leaf is clear. Only 3,000 of this rare, lowest denomination on this issue were printed and as such, received the heaviest circulation in commerce. Both the face and back are quite well centered. One would be hard pressed to ever acquire another, specially in this collectible quality. Extremely Rare, and missing is virtually all Colonial and New Jersey currency collections.
