A framed hand colored engraving after John Frederick Herring (1795-1865), known for his fox hunting scenes, engraved by J. Harris. Purchased at George C. Birlant & Co. on King Street, Charleston. One of 2 from the same estate we are selling in this auction. Published by the New York Graphic Society, Fine Art Publishers in 1944. Measures 26" x 18". Provenance: From the estate of the Chisholm family, a noted old Charleston family.
