Lot of three including a watercolor of coach at side of a horse racing track during race, signed in ink lower right, 7†x 10â€; plus pen & ink drawing of carriage with Gypsy queen, signed and dated lower right, matted 13 x 15â€; & two watercolor paintings on same sheet, one with carriage of hunters and hounds, signed lower right in ink and second showing same group walking away from carriage to begin the hunt, sheet is 11 x 15†and could be cut into two easily. Breul studied under Henry McCarter and specialized in painting and drawing horses and coaching scenes Work is held at Providence Art Club, R.I. Historical Society, R.I. State House, Brown Univ. & other northeastern institutions.
