The tent posts were used by the Nomadic people of Niger and Mali
The present pair of tent posts was made by Tuareg people and dates back to around 1940. The upper portions are designed with geometric abstract patterns, etched with traditional signs. The pieces are highly decorative in form and function.
The tent posts are in good condition considering their age. Some splitting is held together with indigenous repairs of aluminum stapling. The poles are mounted on custom stands and measures 111 cm and 114 cm in height. (cbo)
