Description
A pair of porcelain triple gourd vases, Kangxi period , with a slightly spreading foot and flared mouth, the main build painted in underglaze blue with the Hundred Antiques between leaf borders, the central bulb decorated with with leafy flower scrolls on an underglaze blue ground, the uppermost bulb and neck glazed in delicate cafe au lait colour, the base incised with a Johanneum mark, 24.7cm high A comparable example can be found in Valenstein, A handbook of Chinese ceramics, 1989, n. 216 p. 224. Provenance: Previously in the Collection of Hans Ostrom, Stockholm, acquired from Bluetts The Johanneum mark denotes that this vase was formerly in the collection of Augustus The Strong, the Elector of Saxony and King of Poland. 清康熙 酱釉盘 é’花花å‰ç™½å¤çº¹è‘«èŠ¦ç“¶
