Four powder measures with magnificent inlaid work
These four powder measures originate from the Ottoman Empire, from the 18th/19th century. They are made of steel with décor in the shape of damascenings (silver, brass, copper). The powder measures bear the original pull-out mechanism with adjustable powder measure and scaled arm. They are equipped with elaborately crafted retaining-eyelets. The powder measures were carried on the retaining-eyelets at bandoliers.
The four powder measures are in very good condition with slight traces of wear and age. Their lengths are 13 to 16 cm. (tm)
