Description
A late 19th century turquoise and split-pearl pendant. Designed as an openwork turquoise cabochon and split pearl panel, with seed pearl accent and stylised floral detail. May be worn as a brooch. Length 3.2cms. Weight 5.7gms.
Condition
Overall condition good. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. The turquoise have a discoloured green colour due to age, some may be later replacement with a bright blue colour. The split pearls are well matched with a white body colour, some show a slight silvery tone due to age. The seed pearl has abrasion and some peeling. The brooch fitting and surmount detach.
