Description
Two early 20th century gold gem-set brooches. To include a 9ct gold garnet and peridot foliate brooch, together with a 15ct gold seed and split pearl horseshoe bar brooch. Four split pearls deficient. First with hallmarks for Chester, 1909. Lengths 4.9 and 3.9cms. Total weight 4.2gms.
Condition
Overall condition fair. Some surface wear in keeping with age. Replacement base metal pins. Four split pearls deficient. Peridots differ slightly in hue. Some possible replacement gemstones/seed/split pearls. Gemstones have fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in good condition with some abrasion. Seed pearl untested for natural origin. Seed and split pearls fairly well matched, one with wear to the surface.
