Description
A bronze basin in the form of a lotus flower, likely used in a Zen or Buddhist temple. The lotus is a symbol of enlightenment and realization in Buddhism. Japan, possibly 19th c.; unmarked. Dimensions: approx. 10-1/4" diameter x 8-3/8" H.
Condition
Very good overall; patina appropriate for age and outdoor exposure.
