Excellent details of waves. Footprints in the sand. Reillo (1938-1979) was an east coast artist who died at the young age of forty one from cancer. He had a small but loyal following in the Baltimore, Maryland area. He was established locally at the time of his death. Reillo painted on the tradition of the old masters style, using the Maraget medium. His works are accomplished with substantive detail. In addition to landscapes, he was most known for paintings of ships and portraits. Reillo is listed in the Artist's Bluebook of North America. Approx. size is 28 1/4" x 22 1/2".
