Serial No. 10083. This fine rifle was manufactured in 1928. It is a standard model 55 and features a 24” round barrel, half magazine, take down action, and a shotgun steel buttplate. The barrel finish remains at approx. 80% original factory blue, starting to thin, especially to the top of the barrel and at breach. The frame has flaked to a patina smooth gun metal grey, the loading gate retains most of its original blue, while the hammer and lever retain traces of the original finish. The walnut stock is in very good condition with the exception of a 1” chip at the top heel of the butt stock. Full operational with a strong clean bore. It is chambered for the classic .30-30 Winchester round.
