Serial No. 4942. These rifles earned a fine reputation as some of the best target models ever produced, this particular example is a standard production with a 28” barrel, blued furniture, walnut stock, and has a vintage Wollensak ¾” tube scope mounted. The stock is in excellent condition with the usual dings, the entire metal surface is freckled with some heavy rust, adjustable rear scope mount is rusty, it is missing the bolt and the clip, the rear target sight is intact but needs a good cleaning, and the bore is fine. This would be a great restoration project for the long winter.
