Established in 1826, making this Philadelphia based company one of the earliest sporting goods stores in America. This 10" x 12" image is ornamented with both fishing and hunting scenes and devices among the scrollwork and vignettes. The scene was used as the front cover of Colonel Henry "Hank" Siegel's antiquarian sporting book catalogs that he would send out to his customer's with his company's name, "Angler's and Shooter's Bookself" and other information replacing the center of the image. This is the very image to create his own catalog cover. Excellent condition in a 15 3/4" x 18" frame.
