Contents to the first two letters written to fly tyer, Helen Shaw include a thank you for the hospitality she and husband, Hermann Kessler gave him, and recommendations for food and lodging in the Livingston Manor and Roscoe area, The two letters to John McDonald discusses Theodore Gordon, The Book of St. Alban's and his thoughts of who wrote it, his thoughts on Skues, Labranche and Gordon in regards to the father of American dry-fly fishing, interesting and an entertaining story of a G.E.M Skues' portrait.
