Description
One candlestick and a bowl and flower frog made for one of Rookwood’s benefactors during the depression, designed by Arthur Conant and hand colored by Lorinda Epply. The candlestick is 10 inches high. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, October 10th, 1934 and Ms. Epply’s monogram in green slip. The flower frog is done in a soft green high glaze which matches the interior of the bowl. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date and shape 2612. The bowl is 3 1/4 inches high and 20 inches long. Marks include the Rookwood logo, date, October 10th, 1934, incised “Conant” and having Ms. Epply’s monogram in blue slip. All three pieces are uncrazed and in excellent original condition.
