Description
Heathkit H8 Digital Computer, 1977
Heathkit's H8 was an Intel 8080-based microcomputer sold in kit form from 1977. In contrast to Altair, IMSAI or SOL-20 the H8 did not use the S-100 bus for its expansion cards. Instead H8 used a 50-pin bus – a proprietary development which was actually technically superior to the S-100 bus but could not prevail. A keyboard for entering octal data and a LED display made the H8 much more advanced than Altair, IMSAI and Co. – The H8 is offered in good condition. In addition to the CPU board, a RAM and a controller board are also installed. The computer starts and you can enter numbers from the keyboard. The machine runs on US 110 volt.
Digital Computer Heathkit H8, 1977
